He was raised by humans since birth. He arrived at the Sanctuary in 2000, along with Samanta. The two were raised as siblings from infancy, despite having different parents.

Noel is very sociable, well-mannered, and loves to observe all the movement of cars, as he can see the garage and the movement of employees from his enclosure. He is known as the “engineer”, because he is very intelligent in everything he does. Like his brother, Emílio, when he is suspicious, he has the same look as his mother, Margarete. He enjoys playing and interacting, has lived in various chimpanzee groups, and continues to spend part of his time with Samanta.
