Toti incommunicado!
posted in 17 Sep 2014

A few days ago, the representative of GAP project in Rio Negro, Argentina, Melina Mel Martinez, tried to visit chimpanzee Toti, who is kept in a cage at Bubalcó zoo in that locality, but she was forbidden to enter by the Administrator of the zoo.

Milena has an annual pass, which is not cheap, and it was bought for her to enter and visit the chimpanzee, who is in apparent depressive state. Even with the legal pass, she was denied to entry. The Zoo Manager claimed that GAP project had made allegations of abuse to justice, and that no one of the project would enter the zoo. The owner and manager of the zoo want to avoid us to register in photos the situation in where the chimpanzee is found, and hide it from public opinion.

Bubalcó zoo has become a prison for an innocent chimpanzee, who has had the bad luck to fall into the hands of people who do not have the minimum consideration for his mood and health, and it aims to keep him as a hidden trophy of its economic power, which allows to imprison any non-human being to use them as they want.

Toti is a prisoner with no communication in a zoo ignored and little visited, in southern Argentina, in a strange environment to his biology, which will eventually cause his death.

How far can human vanity come to assert some people primacy!
