GAP PROJECT AFRICA

Aisha Bonet was born in Ibiza, a Mediterranean island that belongs to Spain. With 30 years old she has a long resume of journeys through the world. She has been with Borneo orangutans, the mountain gorillas in Rwanda, the Congo chimpanzees and with her powerful lens that reveals the soul of our closest beings, who live like refugees in the forest harassed by human greed, she will show us this world.

Aisha Bonet\’s profession is photographer, and she is an environmentalist by her choice and a great primate\’s defender by conviction. She will be GAP Project representative in Africa from 2009 on. The images she creates with her proto art will show us in the next months – with no doubts – the world that we think we know, but beyond our reach. From now on we are going to face it and there is a chance that we get chocked with the things that will appear in front of our eyes.

Aisha spent several weeks in the Sanctuaries affiliated to GAP Brazil and did a large number of images of the guests. In the new site of GAP Project International, which will be officially launched in a few weeks, every guest of the sanctuaries will be shown through Aishas\’s lens, with her modern and unique images. Other images of the sanctuaries will be also presented in the site a lot of times, so that the society get to know the forgotten brothers who fights for respect in the Human World.
