BOYCOTT GIBRALTAR

GAP Project Spain are speaking out against the authorities of Gibraltar for having sacrificed ten monkeys of the species Macaca sylvanus, which lived on the territory, because they were supposed to be bothering residents and tourists. These monkeys live in freedom in this area for a lot of years and now, due to some complaints of incidents with humans, the authorities decided for the sacrifice, without considering other alternatives.

A few months ago, GAP Project and United Kingdom Primates Defense League proposed the transfer of the monkeys to their natural habitat, at Atlas Mount, in Marrocos, but they did not receive any answer of the authorities. Now we got to know about the killing.

GAP Project and other environmental organizations are asking for tourists all over the world to boycott Gibraltar, as a protest and to save the rest of the monkeys that are still alive as runaways.
