Simba is arriving!

SOROCABA SANCTUARY

He was abandoned at Porto Seguro, at Bahia state, by an itinerant circus, as it has been happening in the last years with tigers, lions and other animals. Ibama confiscated him and took him to a provisory enclosure. He was very thin, maybe near to death.

After two years of intense care by Ibama team, Simba today is recovered, but lives in a small cage and is desperate do run, jump and to have company. His weight today is almost 200 kg.

This must happen in the next few hours. Simba must leave Vitória da Conquista today and will travel in an official car of Ibama next June 2. He must arrive at the GAP sanctuary in Sorocaba on June 4.
Simba will not only enjoy the space and a swimming pool to take baths frequently, but there is also someone waiting for him… Chitara! The female Siberian tiger is alone for years. She used to live at Moscow circus and lives for a few months in our sanctuary. We hope that it will be love at first sight and that the couple could be happy forever, just like in soap operas and movies.
