In order to strengthen the work in Europe, where GAP has requested UNESCO to declare the Great Apes as World Living Heritage, Pedro Pozas Terrados assumes the Presidency of GAP Project International and Paulina Bermúdez, GAP’s representative in Mexico, the Vice -presidency.
I will continue to integrate the Board, as General Secretary, since the production of the site is based in Brazil, and generate the information and campaigns in multiple languages.
Pedro Pozas Terrados, founder of Proyecto Gran Símio, in Spain, who was already ahead of delegations in Europe, now assumes more than deservedly the Presidency, which will allow him a greater presence in developed countries, Africa and Oceania, where the future of the Great Apes is decided.
Paulina Bermúdez brings her youth, dedication and strength in the fight for the fate of the Great Apes still suffering in private prisons, called zoos, in our America.
GAP Project continues more active than ever and these changes in its Board increase its strength to conquer the respect deserved by Great Primates in our societies.
Dr. Pedro A. Ynterian
General Secretary, GAP Project International
