"THE BEAR THAT HAS ALREADY DANCED"
IBAMA found him chained to a cage, in the border of a highway near the city of Sobral, in Ceará state. He was the bear known as Dimas, the dancer. He had been mistreated in the circus in order to repeat movements like a dancing: he is blind of one eye and had his claws and teeth pulled out.
IBAMA sent him temporarily to a zoo in Ceará, where he is in a small enclosure and keeps on "dancing" on a table put in the slight space. The bear\’s mind had already been damaged, because the repetitive movements that simulate a dance are printed in his memory. The circus destroyed his mind to entertain the audience. What more do we need to prove that animals in circus are mistreatedω
