Owner of a Sanctuary which house around 200 animals in Sorocaba (99 km from São Paulo), biochemist and businessman in the laboratories area Petro Ynterian is going to open in the same site, this month, a new complex to felines and other exotic animals.

The opening of the new enclosures will be with a Lion, a female tiger and a female bear, donated to him by the old "Moscou Magical Circus". The complex will have capacity to receive ten more lions.

With a total area of 23 alqueires, 70% of the animals in the Sanctuaries are chimpanzees, but there are also turtles, snakes, among others. In the last few years the Sanctuary rehomed more than 40 chimpanzees from circus. Some of them had a cost between R$ 5.000,00 to R$ 10.000,00; other, like the ones from Moscou Circus, were given.

Ynterian evaluates that the circus artists are loosing their market with the prohibition of using animals in 50 cities.

While the new complex is not ready, the animals are kept in a provisory location. The enclosure, that has 70 square meters, is located at Vargem Grande Paulista (44 km from São Paulo). The structure used to belong to Garcia Circus, that kept, once, 27 chimpanzees there.

Sorocaba Sanctuary has a monthly cost of about R$ 40.000,00, affirms Ynterian. All the expenses, he says, are paid with his own money.
