GAP Project Spain has managed to get more support for the Habeas Corpus filed by Alejandra Juarez, representative of GAP in Argentina, to liberate chimpanzee Toti, which is now in a zoo in Rio Negro and is isolated in a tiny enclosure.

José María Bermúdez Castro, co- director of Atapuerca Yacimentos , and writers Rosa Montero and Alberto Vasquez – Figueroa signed a letter to the Argentine judiciary asking  for the Habeas Corpus for Toti to be granted and he is sent to GAP Sanctuary in Brazil .

Other personalities have also joined the international campaign for this release of Toti : Jorge Riechmann , Doctor of Political Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona , Jose Llupia , president of the Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Catalonia , Jaime Parejo , scientific researcher , Juan Carlos del Omo , secretary general of WWF Spain, and Carmen Méndez , president of the Association of Animal Protection Law (ADDA).

GAP Project Spain in his statement also shows its concern for the life of chimpanzee Toti , who is gone into a deep depression , due to his unexpected  transference to an inhospitable place and no contact with known people.
