Country gives the example

The Senate of Bolivia approved on May 13th the Law Project 1.143/ 2008-2009, which prohibits the use of wild and domestic animals in circus in the country.
According to the new law, the circuses have one year to adapt their shows to the prohibition. In case the law is not respected, the animals will be confiscated and there will be fines, apart from criminal and civil processes involving the ones in charge of the circus.
Surprisingly, Bolivia gives the example to Latin America turning to be the first country to prohibit in all the territory the use of animals in circus.
