In the end of November, in front of an audience of 340 children and teenagers of 27 different nationalities at the city of Brussels, in Belgian, primatologist Jane Goodall left her message of hope and warning to the world youth: the planet must be preserved and the animals, respected, with no exploitation or use in medical experiments.

Facing na audience that was asking a lot of questions, she repeated “humans are not the only living beings with emotions…”. She opened her speech with the chimpanzee greeting, “U,U,U”, already a Mark of her lectures, and questioned the youngsters of different parts of the world about what each one did to preserve Nature. This challenge, according to her, belongs to everyone, who must give their collaboration to put an end on the destruction of natural resources, as long as there is not much time.

“Humans are not the only ones with personality”, repeated. And questions continued: “what makes a woman who has been sleeping in the jungle for five decades? What scare you the must, humans or animals?”. Seventy six year-old primatologist answers without a doubt: “ Definitely people. Chimpanzees and Elephants can be dangerous, but war and violence… these things scare me most.”
