On Saturday, November 21, we completed our first intervention in central Santiago (Ahumada Park), called “Put yourself in the place of Sandai”.

More than two dozen activists participated displaying a picture with half of Sandai’s face, covering their own faces. In this way it was represented that we put ourselves in his place, that we are aware of the current situation of Sandai, deprived of his liberty in Buin Zoo; we are aware of all this and we are willing to continue working, to achieve his release.

In addition, we participated with our stand, disseminating information about our campaign and collecting signatures. So we had the opportunity to talk to many people about the situation of Sandai at the zoo, exposing the objectives of our campaign and the reasons for our opposition to the existence of Zoos. In all cases we had a positive acceptance by people.

Soon, we will prepare a video of the activities.

We thank all the activists who were part of this intervention and all those people who came to our stand to express support for our campaign.

Let us move on, working for the freedom of Sandai!
