SAVE THE CHIMPS SANCTUARY

David is part of the last journey of migrations that the sanctuary is promoting to transfer the 266 chimpanzees who were at Coulston Foundation torture centre to its islands in Florida.

He was born in Africa and since he was a baby he lives a squalid life from one cage to another, being stick by needles and knocked out by anesthetics. In 2002 the torture was put into an end when Save the Chimps Sanctuary won the ownership of Coulston Foundation, in New Mexico, and started to plan the transfer of all those unhappy beings to a retirement enjoying Florida sun.

David is already at his island and, according his keepers, he is very calm and spends his time up in a platform together with his new friend Ron. When it is very hot, David goes back to the building, sit on the yard and hangs on with other friend, Pele. Sometimes he is also found playing with baby Melody. David enjoys every food and his favorite beverage is Gatorade.

Visit the website http://www.savethechimps.org/waystogive.aspx#meal and help David’s feeding. You can donate an ammount to feed him during a week, a month or a year. You can also go to www.amazon.com to send him his favorite beverage.
