China: support the ban of bears’ torture

SIGN THE PETITION

In China there are farms where bears are put in cages and a tube is implanted in their gallbladder to permanent extraction of bile, which later is processed and converted in medicine.

These bears suffer from terrible pain and die in less than five years of infections and cancer, when they could live for more than 25 years.

The Chinese company Gui Zhen Tang Pharmaceutical Corporation is the main one in this torture process, owning hundreds of bears and submitting them to this violence. Now, in order to raise funds and increase the number of bears, the company is planning to enter at the stock market in the country.

NGO Care 2 is launching a world campaign to sign petitions in order to Shenzhen Stock Exchange does not accept this company as a member. There are already 41.439 signed petitions. Let’s reach one million to save the lives of hundreds of bears from these torturers.

China: Don’t Support Bear Bile Farms!

Bears farmed for their bile, a common ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine, live on factory farms in small cages they can barely move in. Farmers extract their bile through tubes surgically implanted into their gall bladders. And the result of this cruelty is that the bears, in addition to suffering infections and liver cancer, only live about 5 years. A bear in the wild lives 25.

Now, the Gui Zhen Tang Pharmaceutical Corporation, which farms bears for their bile, wants inclusion in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. This move is widely opposed by bloggers and animal welfare groups because of the inherent cruelty their listing would support.

Tell the Shenzhen Stock Exchange not to condone and support animal cruelty by allowing inclusion of the Gui Zhen Tang Pharmaceutical Corporation.
