Check where Zoonit fits

Great Primates Sanctuary of Sorocaba – Brazil

Brazilian Environmental Institute – IBAMA – describes Zoonit as a 10 thousand square meters zoo that hosts 400 animals.

Comparing the zoo with one o four sanctuaries, it is easy to see that the entire zoo fits inside one o our enclosures and there is still some space left (check the area shown by the red circle). And this enclosure is home for only three chimpanzees.

Is there any logic in the existence of a so small zoo with hundreds of different species? This zoo also hosts chimpanzee Jimmy, in a Cage for more than 10 years. Zoonit opened its doors 15 years ago and in fact never had an official license to be opened. Is is fair to continue like this forever?
