Today we honor Mother Earth and all of her beauty.

Here are some of the ways we try to be green at Save the Chimps.

• We collect and reuse water bottles to occasionally give the chimpanzees juice and ices, a favorite, of course!

• We shred our paper and give it to the chimpanzees for nesting.

• We recycle our small boxes and paper towel rolls and fill them with shredded paper, popcorn, sunflower seeds, and cereal, otherwise known as “dry browse”. This simple enrichment item encourages the chimpanzees to forage for their treats.

• And who doesn’t love a box to sit in or kick around?! Kiley, among many others, is no exception!
