Last December, Sea World, which operates 10 aquatic parks where are promoted shows with dolphins and whales, announced the reduction of its team and the dismissal of 350 employees of three Sea World parks in Orlando.

Sea World parks face a credibility crisis after the death of one of its most experienced trainers, attacked by a nervous whale stressed with its life in captivity in a very small area.

United States Security and Health Administration, responsible for inspections in these kind of facilities, charged the park with a financial penalty of USD 75 thousand last August, due to irregularities in the rules for the security of employees.

Sea World wons and operates the parks Sea World, Discovery Cove and Aquatica,  in Orlando, Busch Garden and Adventure Island, in Tampa. It also manages Sesame Place, in Pennsylvania, and other facilities in California.

Like great primates, GAP Project defends the basic rights of great cetaceans – living beings of a singular intelligence, who do not deserve to be exploited for human entertainment or to be kept in small areas in captivity, as long as it can be considered mistreating against their existence.
