SAVE THE CHIMPS SANCTUARY

To forbid a chimpanzee to walk on grass throughout his life is a crime. Boy – a 40 year-old chimpanzee, captured in Africa when he was a baby – lived 15 terrible years in a 6 square meter cage – was the first of the group of ten chimpanzees that arrived in Fort Piece, Florida, to walk on the grass.

After Boy, his migration partners from the extinct New MéxicoTortureCenter followed his steps: Linda, Tina and Renquist not only walked on the grass, but crossed the bridge and entered the island, which will be their home until the end of their lives. The day was not very nice, the sun from Florida was fading, but for those beings that was the most fantastic day of their lives. Besides the grass, the sun and the rain, there will be no more fear. They will never be afraid anymore of a human hand sticking needles with unknown liquids and striping out parts of their skin of their weak bodies. Now those extraordinary beings are free forever!
