An investigating judge of Río Negro, Argentina, Dr. Ruben D. Norry, on June9, facing the application of an Habeas Corpus in favor of chimpanzee Toti – who is captive in Bubalcó Zoo – agreed to send the request to a Court consisting of five judges, who must determine whether Toti is a non-human person and a subject of law. And if his basic rights should be respected and in, being innocent, he should be kept as a prisoner in a totally strange place to him and very different of his previous life.

The five judges who have in their hands the historic decision that can change the lives of captive Great Apes in Argentina and in the world are:
