The habitat from the Congo’s primates has been destroyed by Oil Company
postado em 18 jan 2007

The PASA (Pan-African Sanctuary Alliance) denounced the activities from the Maurel & Prom Oil Company because this company, in order to find oil in the coast and in the forests of Congo, sets of a great amount of explosives in places close to an important refuge for turtles, chimps, gorillas, and even mandrills, the Conkoauti- Doli National Park. The Help-Congo project has been releasing great primates in an area inside this park and these explosions are scaring all these animals away.
It is known that the explosions were not authorized by the Congo Government in an area so close to the park.
